Sunnycrest Manor Auxiliary
The Auxiliary operates under the leadership of a seven member Auxiliary Board including two who are also members of the Dubuque County Hospital Board of Trustees. The Auxiliary Board works closely with the Sunnycrest administrators and department heads to provide the “extras” which enhance the quality of life for residents.
Below are ways you can help grow our mission and provide services to those most in need in the Dubuque community
We need more members to be able to grow our mission of generating resources to enhance quality of life for our residents. Active members support the work of the Auxiliary by paying $10 dues and in helping with activities they choose on the form. Inactive Members support our mission by simply filling out this form and paying the $10 dues is a way to raise funds for the residents! You can also include more than $10 in your donation if you wish!

Current larger projects include:
Providing three tablet computers for residents to share for access to the available wireless internet. Video chats with family and old friends across the miles, email, mental activity games will be possible. There is growing research evidence that nursing home residents suffering from dementia showed a high degree of acceptance of tablet computers and benefit from their use. NEED: ~$2500
Our 2017 project of purchasing a 6-Passenger Concierge vehicle is completed. Many thanks to the Dubuque Racing Associating for a $7500 donation toward the $10,700 project. The Sunnycrest Auxiliary completed the project using other unrestricted funds. The vehicle was delivered in August 2017.
Our 2016 project to provide three mini-vans has been successful. Many thanks to the Dubuque Racing Association, Medical Associates Foundation, Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Dupaco R.W. Hoefer Foundation and the Dubuque County Hospital Board of Trustees. The vans are in constant use and provide quality transportation to our residents.
