Join the OWL group for a lunch and learn program as faculty and students from the University of Dubuque present some of their most recent environmental research. The Iowa DOT presents the video “Landscapes that Shape Us: Mitigation Efforts for US 20.” This video tells the story of cultural resources discovered during the planning stages of the US 20 expansion and how government agencies, Native American tribes, historians, and archaeologists worked together to balance transportation needs while protecting the integrity of the land. The video will be followed by a Q&A sessions with Brennan Dolan, archaeologist and cultural resource manager for the Iowa DOT.
