About the Nature Preserve
- 476 acres of woodlands and prairies
- Catfish Creek, which meanders through the preserve, is stocked with trout by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) each year
- Conservation Board Headquarters
- Free snowshoe rental
- Groomed cross-country ski trails
- Nature Center with interpretive displays concerning the wildlife, ecology, and natural history of the Swiss Valley area

Hours
The preserve and the interpretive center are open year round except for holidays.
Preserve hours are sunrise to sunset.
Center hours are 7 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday and 9 am to 5 pm on weekends.
