Seven New Cases in Dubuque County, 325 New Cases and 18 More Deaths in Iowa
Positive Cases
From 2 p.m. yesterday to 2 p.m. today, the IDPH reported seven additional positive cases of COVID-19 in Dubuque County, putting the county total at 341. For the state, 325 additional cases were reported in that same time frame giving Iowa a total of 18,898 positive cases.
Deaths
No additional deaths were reported in Dubuque County since 2 p.m. yesterday, keeping the county total at 18. Eighteen additional deaths were reported statewide putting the state death total at 522.
Testing
As of this 2 p.m. today, 5,341 Dubuque County residents have been tested, up 281 from yesterday. 147,440 Iowans have been tested, an increase of 4,089 since yesterday. Iowa has a positive test rate of 12.8 percent while Dubuque County’s is 6.4 percent. One in 18 Dubuque County residents have been tested and one in 21 Iowans have been tested.
Long-Term Care Facility Outbreaks
As of 2 p.m.. today, there are 38 long-term care facilities in Iowa with COVID-19 outbreaks. There is one long-term care facility outbreak in Dubuque County at Dubuque Specialty Care, which has 49 positive cases and 12 recovered cases (no change from yesterday). Statewide, IDPH is reporting 1,532 positive cases at long-term care facilities (up 33 from yesterday), 671 recovered (up 11 from yesterday), and 244 deaths (13 more than yesterday). The number of cases and recovered include both residents and staff.
Hospitalizations & Recoveries
As of yesterday, 376 Iowans were hospitalized due to COVID-19, a decrease of seven from Wednesday. During that same time, the number of Dubuque County residents hospitalized dropped from from seven to five.Statewide, 10,711 Iowans have recovered (up 398 from yesterday), including 164 Dubuque County residents (up nine from yesterday).
