Public Survey and Application Open for Dubuque County American Rescue Plan Act Funding

July 26, 2021

Dubuque County will receive $18.9 million in total funding through The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA). These funds provide a substantial infusion of resources to help turn the tide on the pandemic, address its economic fallout, and lay the foundation for a strong and equitable recovery.

The Board of Supervisors would like to hear from Dubuque County residents about their priorities for investing American Rescue Plan Act funding. The anonymous online survey will allow residents to share their opinions and ideas about the funding use. Survey results will be taken into consideration as the Board of Supervisors make key decisions on how the funds are spent.

The Board of Supervisors are also inviting community organizations and external partners to submit American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) proposals for funding consideration. Proposals must address a public need that has been created or exaggerated by the COVID-19 pandemic and meet usage and timing requirements of the ARPA legislation. Projects should be designed with a strategic public purpose that creates meaningful and long-lasting impact and must be focused on Dubuque County and be administered or located in Dubuque County.

Applications must be submitted no later than 5:00 PM on September 15, 2021.

The survey and application can be accessed on Dubuque County’s website at https://dubuquecountyiowa.gov/591/American-Rescue-Plan-Act-Funds
