Governor Updates Proclamation and Extends Requirements by a Weekg

Gov. Reynolds announced this morning she is extending the state's mask requirements and limitations on some indoor and outdoor gatherings through next Thursday, Dec. 17.  The updated proclamation does include some changes for organized sports and recreational event.  The official proclamation/announcement with complete details is not yet publicly available but will be featured in tomorrow's updated.  It is expected to be posted later today at https://governor.iowa.gov/newsroom

24-HOUR CHANGES & NEW TOTALS  
(11 a.m. yesterday to 11 a.m. today): 

POSITIVE CASES 

  • Dubuque County: 63 new cases. Total confirmed cases to date = 9,762
  • Iowa: 2,542 new cases. Total confirmed cases to date = 248,782

  • Dubuque County Residents Hospitalized =  30 as of Dec. 6. (1 more than Dec. 5)
  • Iowans Currently Hospitalized = 894 (6 fewer than yesterday.)

  • Total tests to date = 104,680

Iowa

  • 6,887 more individuals tested.

Dubuque County: 5 long-term care facility outbreaks (same yesterday) with 140 positive cases (4 more than yesterday), 13 new positive cases in the last 14 days, and 80 recoveries (2 more than yesterday):

  • Dubuque Specialty Care, Dubuque (73 positive cases, 1 in the last 14 days, and 54 recoveries)
