21 New Cases in Dubuque County, 469 New Cases and Three Deaths Statewide

Positive Cases
Between 11 a.m. yesterday and 11 a.m. today, the IDPH reported 21 new positive cases of COVID-19 in Dubuque County, increasing the total number of confirmed cases in the county to 1,363.

Statewide, 469 additional cases were reported in that same time frame, giving Iowa a total of 42,485 positive cases.

Deaths
No additional deaths were reported in Dubuque County since 11 a.m. yesterday so the county total remains 26.

Three additional deaths were reported statewide, increasing the state death total at 829.

Testing
As of 11 a.m. today, the IDPH website reported that 18,516 Dubuque County residents have been tested, up 107 from yesterday. The county’s overall positive test rate is 7.4 percent and one in five Dubuque County residents has been tested.

455,740 Iowans have been tested, an increase of 4,402 since 11 a.m. yesterday. The state’s overall positive test rate is 9.3 percent and one in seven Iowa residents has been tested.

 Hospitalizations & Recoveries
According to the IDPH, the number of Dubuque County residents reported hospitalized due to COVID-19 as of July 24 was 22, an increase of three over the previous day.

241 Iowans are hospitalized due to COVID-19, an increase of 15 from yesterday.

Statewide, 29,765 Iowans have recovered (160 more than reported yesterday), including 502 Dubuque County residents (six more than yesterday).

 Long-Term Care Facility Outbreaks
According to the IDPH, there are 22 long-term care facilities in Iowa with COVID-19 outbreaks as of 11 a.m. today, the same as reported yesterday.

There is currently one long-term care facility outbreak in Dubuque County. Luther Manor Grand Meadows in Asbury has three residents who are positive for COVID-19.

Dubuque Test Iowa Clinic Schedule

This week’s testing schedule for the Test Iowa Clinic at Epic Health & Wellness at 1075 Cedar Cross Road in Dubuque is :

6 a.m. to 7 a.m., Tuesday - Thursday

Testing will be limited at this clinic to 100 tests per day. If the site reaches the maximum of 100 tests before 7 a.m., testing will be suspended until the next scheduled day.

If you go to this testing clinic, please abide by the posted traffic instructions and do not block driveways. If you are advised by traffic control or clinic staff that you will not be tested that day due to the length of the waiting line, please leave and come back another day or go to another Test Iowa site in another community.

Any Iowan who would like to be tested for COVID-19 at this location or any other Test Iowa location must first complete the Test Iowa assessment at www.testiowa.com. They will then be provided an identification number, which is required to be tested. To take an assessment or request a test, visit www.testiowa.com.
