Two New Cases in Dubuque County, 93 New Cases and One Additional Death in Iowa
Positive Cases
Between 2 p.m. yesterday and 2 p.m. today, the IDPH reported two new positive cases of COVID-19 in Dubuque County, increasing the county total to 417. For the state, 93 additional cases were reported in that same time frame giving Iowa a total of 26,051 positive cases.
Deaths
No additional deaths were reported in Dubuque County so the county total remains at 22. One additional death was reported statewide, increasing the state death total to 686.
Testing
As of 2 p.m. today, the IDPH website reported that 7,608 Dubuque County residents have been tested, up 53 from yesterday, with a positive test rate of 5.5 percent. 259,002 Iowans have been tested, an increase of 1,481 since yesterday, for a positive test rate of 10.1 percent. One in 13 Dubuque County residents have been tested and one in 12 Iowa residents.
Long-Term Care Facility Outbreaks
According to the IDPH, as of 2 p.m. today there are 31 long-term care facilities in Iowa with COVID-19 outbreaks, one less than yesterday. There is one long-term care facility outbreak in Dubuque County at Dubuque Specialty Care, which has 51 positive cases and 22 recovered cases (no changes from yesterday). Statewide, IDPH is reporting 906 positive cases at long-term care facilities (54 fewer than reported yesterday), 530 recovered (25 fewer than reported yesterday), and 356 deaths (one more than yesterday). The number of cases and recovered include both residents and staff.
Hospitalizations & Recoveries
As of today, 169 Iowans were hospitalized due to COVID-19, one fewer than than yesterday. The number of Dubuque County residents hospitalized is zero, the same as yesterday. Statewide, 16,240 Iowans have recovered (up 192 from yesterday), including 241 Dubuque County residents (two more than yesterday).
Test Iowa Assessments & Dubuque Clinic
As of 2 p.m. today, Dubuque County residents had completed 19,179 Test Iowa assessments, an increase of 443 since yesterday.
A free Test Iowa Clinic is being held in Dubuque from today through Friday, June 26, at Epic Health and Wellness Clinic, 1075 Cedar Cross Road. Any Iowan who would like to be tested for COVID-19 at this location must first complete the Test Iowa assessment at www.testiowa.com. They will then be provided an identification number in order to schedule an appointment by calling Epic Health and Wellness at 563-583-6595.To take an assessment or request a test, visit www.testiowa.com.
