Three New Cases and One Additional Death in Dubuque County, 129 New Cases and Two More Deaths in Iowa

Positive Cases
Between 2 p.m. yesterday and 2 p.m. today, the IDPH reported three new positive cases of COVID-19 in Dubuque County, increasing the county total to 387. For the state, 129 additional cases were reported in that same time frame giving Iowa a total of 24,051 positive cases.

Deaths
One additional death was reported in Dubuque County increasing the county total to 22. Two additional deaths were reported statewide increasing the state death total at 654.

Testing
As of 2 p.m. today, the IDPH website reported that 6,840 Dubuque County residents have been tested, up 98 from yesterday, with a positive test rate of 5.7 percent. 227,758 Iowans have been tested, an increase of 2,760 since yesterday, for a positive test rate of 10.6 percent. One in 14 Dubuque County residents have been tested and one in 14 Iowa residents.

Long-Term Care Facility Outbreaks
According to the IDPH, as of 2 p.m. today there are 36 long-term care facilities in Iowa with COVID-19 outbreaks, the same as yesterday. There is one long-term care facility outbreak in Dubuque County at Dubuque Specialty Care, which has 51 positive cases and 21 recovered cases (seven more recoveries than yesterday). Statewide, IDPH is reporting 1,323 positive cases at long-term care facilities (five more than reported yesterday), 790 recovered (up 13 from yesterday), and 341 deaths (same as reported yesterday)The number of cases and recovered include both residents and staff.

Hospitalizations & Recoveries
As of today, 197 Iowans were hospitalized due to COVID-19, six fewer than yesterday. The number of Dubuque County residents hospitalized is two, one fewer than yesterday. Statewide, 14,585 Iowans have recovered (up 210 from yesterday), including 228 Dubuque County residents (nine more than yesterday).
