Four New Cases in Dubuque County, 352 New Cases and 12 More Deaths in Iowa
Positive Cases
Between 2 p.m. yesterday and 2 p.m. today, the IDPH reported four new positive cases of COVID-19 in Dubuque County for a new total of 358. For the state, 352 additional cases were reported in that same time frame giving Iowa a total of 21,142 positive cases.
Deaths
No additional deaths were reported in Dubuque County since yesterday so the county total remains at 21. Twelve additional deaths were reported statewide increasing the state death total at 592.
Testing
As of 2 p.m. today, the IDPH website reported that 5,968 Dubuque County residents have been tested, up 78 from yesterday, with a positive test rate of six percent. 180,986 Iowans have been tested, an increase of 5,663 since yesterday, for a positive test rate of 11.7 percent. One in 16 Dubuque County residents have been tested while one in 17 Iowa residents have been tested.
Long-Term Care Facility Outbreaks
According to the IDPH, as of 2 p.m. today there are 40 long-term care facilities in Iowa with COVID-19 outbreaks, the same as yesterday. There is one long-term care facility outbreak in Dubuque County at Dubuque Specialty Care, which has 49 positive cases and 14 recovered cases (no change from yesterday). Statewide, IDPH is reporting 1,541 positive cases at long-term care facilities (14 more than reported yesterday), 784 recovered (29 more than reported yesterday), and 297 deaths (seven more than reported yesterday). The number of cases and recovered include both residents and staff.
Hospitalizations & Recoveries
As of today, 299 Iowans were hospitalized due to COVID-19, a decrease of 11 from yesterday. The number of Dubuque County residents hospitalized remains at five. Statewide, 12,533 Iowans have recovered (up 249 from yesterday), including 196 Dubuque County residents (one more than yesterday).
