Four New Cases and Additional Death in Dubuque County, 326 New Cases and 16 More Deaths in Iowa

Positive Cases
From 2 p.m. yesterday to 2 p.m. today, the IDPH reported four additional positive cases of COVID-19 in Dubuque County, bringing the total to 350. For the state, 326 additional cases were reported in that same time frame giving Iowa a total of 20,016 positive cases.

Deaths
One additional death was reported in Dubuque County since 2 p.m. yesterday, putting the county total at 20. Sixteen additional deaths were reported statewide increasing the state death total at 561.

Testing
As of this 2 p.m. today, 5,660 Dubuque County residents have been tested, up 145 from yesterday. 164,118 Iowans have been tested, an increase of 4,609 since yesterday. Iowa has a positive test rate of 12.2 percent while Dubuque County’s is 6.2 percent. One in 17 Dubuque County residents have been tested and one in 19 Iowans have been tested.

Long-Term Care Facility Outbreaks

As of 2 p.m.. today, there are 41 long-term care facilities in Iowa with COVID-19 outbreaks, two more than yesterday. There is one long-term care facility outbreak in Dubuque County at Dubuque Specialty Care, which has 49 positive cases and 14 recovered cases (no change from yesterday). Statewide, IDPH is reporting 1,589 positive cases at long-term care facilities (up 21 from yesterday), 759 recovered (up 20 from yesterday), and 266 deaths (seven more than yesterday)The number of cases and recovered include both residents and staff.

Hospitalizations & Recoveries
As of today, 327 Iowans were hospitalized due to COVID-19, a decrease of 12 from yesterday. The number of Dubuque County residents hospitalized remains at five. Statewide, 11,705 Iowans have recovered (up 339 from yesterday), including 188 Dubuque County residents (up two from yesterday
