Two New Cases and Additional Death in Dubuque County, 139 New Cases and 11 More Deaths in Iowa
Positive Cases
From 2 p.m. yesterday to 2 p.m. today, the IDPH reported two additional positive cases of COVID-19 in Dubuque County, bringing the total to 346. For the state, 139 additional cases were reported in that same time frame giving Iowa a total of 19,690 positive cases.
Deaths
One additional death was reported in Dubuque County since 2 p.m. yesterday, putting the county total at 19. Eleven additional deaths were reported statewide increasing the state death total at 545.
Testing
As of this 2 p.m. today, 5,515 Dubuque County residents have been tested, up 42 from yesterday. 159,509 Iowans have been tested, an increase of 2,796 since yesterday. Iowa has a positive test rate of 12.3 percent while Dubuque County’s is 6.3 percent. One in 18 Dubuque County residents have been tested and one in 20 Iowans have been tested.
Long-Term Care Facility Outbreaks
As of 2 p.m.. today, there are 39 long-term care facilities in Iowa with COVID-19 outbreaks, the same as yesterday. There is one long-term care facility outbreak in Dubuque County at Dubuque Specialty Care, which has 49 positive cases and 14 recovered cases (two more recoveries than yesterday). Statewide, IDPH is reporting 1,568 positive cases at long-term care facilities (up six from yesterday), 739 recovered (up 27 from yesterday), and 259 deaths (nine more than yesterday). The number of cases and recovered include both residents and staff.
Hospitalizations & Recoveries
As of today, 339 Iowans were hospitalized due to COVID-19, a decrease of two from yesterday. The number of Dubuque County residents hospitalized remains at five. Statewide, 11,366 Iowans have recovered (up 255 from yesterday), including 186 Dubuque County residents (up 12 from yesterday).
