Swiss Valley Summer Camps

2017 Summer Camps Registration Packet

All camps are filled on a first come first serve basis. Registration forms can be mailed in, dropped off at our office, or you can register online at: https://secure.getmeregistered.com/get_information.php?event_id=126203. Payment and forms must be received in order for your child to be fully registered. Camps fill quickly and we will maintain a waiting list for each camp. Please call 563-556-6745 with any questions.

National Trails Day

Saturday, June 3rd, 9:00am-11:00am

Finley’s Landing Park

Join us and celebrate National Trails Day at Finley’s Landing. Spend a couple hours along the trails doing trail maintenance! We will clear scenic overlooks, re-surface trails, and repair eroded areas.  Bring work gloves, no registration required.

 

Free Fishing Weekend

Heritage Pond

The IDNR hosts a free fishing weekend for Iowa residents the first weekend in June. Take advantage of this weekend by joining us at Heritage Pond for a morning full of fishing fun! We will have extra poles and bait if needed.

Mines of Spain Canoe Launch

Grab a paddle and enjoy a leisurely float down Catfish Creek. Bring your own boat or canoes and kayaks are available to rent but supply is limited and will be given out first come, first serve.

 

Becoming an Outdoor Woman Workshop

Saturday, June 17th, 7:30am-2:30pm

Izaak Walton League- Peosta

Interested in learning more about the outdoors and all the great recreational opportunities available in it? Ladies, ages 18 and up, are invited to try out sessions that include rifle shooting, trapshooting, archery, fish cleaning/cooking, fly fishing, and more! $5 for lunch, pre-registration required. Float & Bird

Meet at Mud Lake Park canoe launch

Float the mighty Mississippi and enjoy the scenery and the diversity of birds that call it home. Bring your own boat or borrow one of ours, supply is limited. Program not recommended for young children as we will be paddling on the Mississippi River Channel. Cost is $8/person and includes a sack lunch.
