Enforcement
Enforcement of the Zoning Ordinance, Subdivision & Platting Ordinance and Flood Plain Management Ordinance is the Planning and Zoning office’s responsibility. If a complaint is reported, an investigation of the property is conducted. The property owner will be given time to remedy the situation. If they refuse or can’t remedy the situation, court action may be taken. Depending on the property owner’s cooperation, the process may take from 30 days to over a year to finally be considered closed.
