The mission of Sunnycrest Manor is to promote quality of life while providing quality care to each individual that resides in our facility.
We promote quality of life by embracing a resident centered model of care in which you feel a sense of belonging to a caring community where you can achieve life satisfaction in the programs and services of daily life offered by Sunnycrest.
Resident centered care honors your life long preferences, patterns and life styles. We support your individuality by honoring choices that promote your freedom and independence. Some good examples are preferences in bathing, dining, waking, sleeping and activities.
As part of our “Home and Heart Program”, you live in a small area within the larger nursing unit called a Village. There are four Villages in our nursing facility- Arbor Mist, Deerwood, Eagle Ridge and River Bluff. Specific staff is scheduled to each Village routinely. This gives you and your caretakers a chance to know and befriend one another. With this type of relationship between you and the staff, you will be more satisfied and more able to voice preferences and exercise control. This promotes your independence. Residents are less intimidated in registering concerns or complaints to caretakers who they consider their friend. Complaints or concerns are dealt with in a timely manner by staff, because they are committed to their Village and have a true sense of responsibility to problem solve. This provides good communication for all departments through-out the facility.
